The Brockville Police Service was called to a domestic assault on Brock Street. The incident happened on Sunday night.
According to police, witnesses observed a woman being pulled by the hair across a parking lot and thrown into a van. The vehicle was located and stopped by police a short distance away.
A 42-year-old man was charged with six counts of assault, forcible confinement and mischief. He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
