Prescott trade show to support rebuilding rink

The LG Small Business and Trade Show will be donating money to the Town of Prescott.

The show will be happening on Friday, March eighth, from three to eight that evening and on Saturday the ninth from nine to three that day. It will be at the Leo Boivin Community Centre in Prescott. Admission is two dollars per person and children 12 and under are free.

Event Coordinator Dave Annable says this is the first year the Leeds and Grenville Approved Professionals have taken over and are re-branding it with a trades aspect along with small businesses.

“(There will be) skilled trades and labourers, we’ve got builders, HVAC, plumbing, the whole nine yards. So it’ll be more diverse.”

Annable says all admission fees will be going towards rebuilding a Prescott rink.

He says there will be tons going on at the event for both kids and adults. Right now there are 62 confirmed vendors and have eight booths left. Annable says Herk’s Fort Town Franks will be at the event with a barbecue cart. Windmill Brewery will also be there and Annable says they will also be preparing a cheap, high quality breakfast on the Saturday morning.
