Brockville Winter Classic weekend offers free family fun

The Brockville Winter Classic weekend will bring in dollars for Rotary Park. The Local Heroes Hockey Tournament is set for Saturday, beginning at 10:00am. Admission is free.

The Chicago Blackhawks Alumni Hot Stove is happening Saturday night at the Brockville Memorial Centre, followed by the alumni game on Sunday.

Organizer Ryan Billing says hockey legends will be out in force. He says Denis Savard, an Hockey Hall of Fame player, along with Matthew Barnaby and John Scott, who was named NHL All-Star Game MVP in 2016, will be taking part.

The RBC Family Day Skate & Sledge Hockey is set for Monday, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. There is no cost to attend and the event includes a barbecue.
