The MyView Film Festival is encouraging people to get creative. The contest is open to all youth between the ages of 10 and 24 in Eastern Ontario. A $1,000 grand prize, sponsored by McGahey Insurance and Grenville Mutual, is up for grabs.
Videos can feature something in the community, a solution to a problem or an opinion. The deadline for video submission is May 1.
Committee member and Health Promoter Rebecca Shams says this generation of young people have all kinds of new issues to tackle.
“Between #metoo, cannabis legalization and social media, youth are extremely well informed and I look forward to seeing what they have to say,” says Shams.
Judging criteria favours the content over production elements.
