Update: Winter Storm Warning lifted
Update #2: The Winter Storm Warning has been lifted.
Update: The Watch is now a warning. Hazardous winter conditions are expected with snow beginning tomorrow morning, according to Environment Canada. It says winds are now expected to be 70 kilometers per hour.
The Prescott area is expecting to see more snow this week.
Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Tuesday and Wednesday. The organization says we could see between 25 and 35 centimeters of snow falling mostly throughout Tuesday, with more snow during the day on Wednesday before it begins to taper off.
With the snow, Environment Canada says we could also see strong easterly winds gusting to 80 kilometers per hour which will cause reduced visibilities and blowing snow.
It says the snow is associated with a Colorado low that will cross through the region during that time.
Environment Canada warns drivers that the rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult in some locations. It says you should continue to monitor its alerts and forecasts.
