Edwardsburgh Cardinal Man Charged with Impaired Driving After Collision

A 58-year old Edwardsburgh-Cardinal man has been charged after a collision on Tuesday.

Officers responded to a vehicle collision on County Road 21 in Augusta Township around 10:00pm. The OPP says a pick-up truck left the highway, striking an unoccupied vehicle that was parked at a residence and then continued into an adjacent field, before becoming stuck in the snow.

The OPP says the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He has been charged with driving while impaired.

His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days. He was released on a promise to appear at Brockville Court in February.
