The new Member of Parliament for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes was sworn in yesterday.
The ceremony for Michael Barrett was held at Parliament Hill. Around 70 supporters and his family joined him. After the ceremony he was introduced to the House of Commons.
Barrett claimed the MP seat in December during the federal by-election. Gord Brown previously held the seat until his death in May last year.
