HOL adopts out 153 food bank clients for Christmas

It was a banner year for the House of Lazarus (HOL) Christmas Adoption program. A total of 153 food bank clients were provided hampers, featuring gifts and Christmas meals. The program helped 82 families, 17 seniors and 54 singles/couples.

Client Services Manager Kim Merkley says people were overwhelmed when they picked up their hampers.

Over 100 local kids benefitted from Angel Tree gifts.

Merkley says everybody deserves something for Christmas. She says kids who would otherwise only get one gift for Christmas got a few thanks to community donors.

The HOL Food Bank serves people in North Grenville, South Grenville, North Dundas and South Dundas. For more information about the HOL and its programs, click here.
