Shell announces $16 million investment in Brockville plant

A major investment is coming to the Shell plant in Brockville. Shell Canada Products Limited is spending $16 million on state-of-the-art equipment. The goal is to increase production and efficiency.

Plant Manager Kelly McKinnon says with volume growth, additional shifts could be added to handle production. She says it’s a exciting time for the plant and community.

The facility is the newest of its type in North America and a major player on the national scale for motor oils.

The plant opened in 1991. The investment will cover upgrades to the Process Control System, Robotic Pail Palletiser and a new conveyor system.

McKinnon says the company is positioning itself for sustainability and growth.
