Clothing Donation Bins Stolen in Prescott and Kemptville

OPP say clothing donation bins in Prescott and Kemptville have been stolen.

Police say around 1:30 in the morning yesterday, there was an attempt theft of a clothing donation bin, at the Canadian Tire Store parking lot, in Prescott. OPP say the suspects were unable to remove the bin, but caused irreparable damage. Police explain a bin at the Giant Tiger on Edward Street and a bin at the corner of Clothier and Prescott Street, in the Town of Kemptville has also been stolen yesterday.

The OPP say the thefts are believed to be related to reports of bin thefts in the Smiths Falls and Ottawa areas. Each bin has a value of approximately $1000.
