Former Fire Chief Gerald Bennett is facing charges.
The OPP started investigating the 60-year-old after getting a complaint from the Town of Gananoque and the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands.
Bennett is facing 15 counts of fraud, six counts of uttering a forged document, three counts of theft and breach of trust.
He will appear in Brockville Court on January 4.
