Leeds & Grenville Interval House was gifted individuals gift bags of feminine hygiene products. The donation was made on December 6, which is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
The bags came from Jodi Verburg of SEIU Healthcare, Cindy Becker of ETFO Upper Canada and Éva Labelle student from Académie Catholique Ange-Gabriel.
This is the second year that SEIU members, along with ETFO members and families from Académie Catholique Ange-Gabriel came together to support Interval House.
The organization provides emergency shelter, outreach counselling and transitional support for abused women and their children throughout the county.
