Suspicious women, squatter arrested in Brockville

The Brockville Police Service had a busy weekend. A 25-year-old Brockville man was arrested Friday morning for an outstanding warrant. Police were called to an apartment complex in the city’s north end to help remove squatters.

One of the unwanted guests was found to be in Breach of Probation. He was taken into custody and will appear in Brockville Court.

Two women were arrested Friday night after police were called to a north end retailer. The women were acting suspiciously, according to staff. The 36-year-old and 26-year-old, both of Brockville, were taken into custody for outstanding charges. The women were found to be in possession of illicit drugs.

On Saturday night, police responded to a disturbance at a hotel in the city’s north end. An intoxicated man assaulted another person during an argument. The 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested and will appear in court later this month.
