CIBC donates $850, warm clothing to HOL

Project Warmth got a helping hand from a local bank. The CIBC branch in Kemptville raised $850 for the House of Lazarus (HOL), which runs the program. Fundraising ran throughout the month of November.

CIBC representative Melissa Button says the community is very generous and anytime the bank tries to raise money for local charities, everyone comes together to help out.

Project Warmth launched last year. Window insulation kits and Eco-Energy Logs are provided to food bank clients to help heat their homes.

The bank also collected warm clothing for the HOL. Button says people brought in new jackets and snow pants – stuff for kids, women and men. She says even non-clients have been stopping by to drop off items.

The HOL serves people in North Grenville, South Grenville, North Dundas and South Dundas.
