Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stops by local coffee shop

Kemptville welcomed the Prime Minister today. Justin Trudeau stopped by Geronimo Coffee House on Prescott Street. The Prime Minister arrived around 3:00pm this afternoon.

He was greeted by a large crowd outside. It was standing room only inside Geronimo, as locals gathered to meet the Prime Minister.

Trudeau made a brief speech before walking through the coffee shop to shake hands with people. He was in town to support Mary Jean McFall’s bid for the MP seat in Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes. The federal by-election is set for December 3.

The other candidates for the by-election are Michael Barrett (Conservative), Michelle Taylor (NDP) and Lorraine Rekmans (Green).

Trudeau headed to Brockville after leaving Kemptville. He made an appearance at Richard’s Coffeehouse.
