Town Thanks Councillor Laschinger at Final Meeting of Current Term

The Town of Prescott’s staff and Council thanks Councillor Fraser Laschinger as a new term is set to begin.

At last night’s Council meeting, Mayor Brett Todd took a moment to thank Laschinger for his time as a Council member. Laschinger was presented with a gift basket. Todd says he will be greatly missed around the table and has done a tremendous job.

Laschinger Chaired the Tourism and Heritage Committee and says the spirit of Prescott is a fabulous thing.

“In terms of the volunteers that come out and serve all sorts of different organizations, all sorts of different activities, it’s what makes all the things possible in this town because we are a small town.”

Laschinger adds if there wasn’t the support from people in the town, then they wouldn’t be able to accomplish half as much as what they do.

Laschinger was not voted into Council in the October Municipal Elections.

Gauri Shankar, Teresa Jansman, Leanne Burton, Mike Ostrander, Ray Young and Lee McConnell will be sworn in as Councillors for the 2018-2022 term on Monday.
