With many OPP officers getting set to retire, the force is heading to social media to recruit new talent. The OPP Recruitment Unit will use the Twitter handle, @OPP_Hire to provide live and interactive information to prospective recruits.
This evening between 6:00pm – 11:00pm, you can join a virtual ride-along with an Essex County officer. Next Wednesday, officers will live-stream to share their experiences on the force. On February 17th, OPP Commissioner Vince Hawkes will introduce a live info session where officers discuss what it takes to be a competitive candidate. For more information, head to Twitter.
