Champion figure skaters Alaine Chartrand and Matthew Markell of the Prescott Figure Skating Club are set to compete internationally after fantastic performances at the National level in Halifax.
Chartrand won gold in the Senior Women’s division, while Markell brought home the silver in the Novice Men’s. It was his first competition at the National level.
Chartrand is heading to the Four Continents competition in Taiwan this month and the World Championships in Boston at the end of March. Markell heads to his first International competition in Luxembourg, March 11-13.
