Hockey families unite to show support for one of their own

Hockey families around the region are reaching out to support the family of young Dasan Munro, who was killed in a collision Saturday afternoon. He was on his way home from a hockey game and just minutes from home when his father’s car collided with a pickup truck. Police have yet to determine the cause of the crash.

Local hockey players wore black armbands Sunday to show their respect. Grief counselors were at the rink Monday afternoon and they remain at St. Mark’s school this week in case anyone needs to talk. Even people who didn’t know the ten-year-old hockey player are sharing the photo posted by the South Grenville Minor Hockey Association on Facebook: it’s a number 8 with the initials DM.
