Local Halloween Maze Raises Over $300 for Kings Kitchen

A local family’s Halloween Maze has raised $370 for Kings Kitchen.

The Campbellville Horror Maze in Prescott ran for two nights with attendees paying a donation to go in. The money was presented to Kings Kitchen’s Organizer Carol Casselman at last night’s dinner. Kings Kitchen is a weekly meal people can enjoy, for a donation, at South Grenville District High School. Casselman says it is awesome to receive this donation.

“I know it’s a sacrifice, because it takes them a lot of time and money of their own to run it so we feel blessed.”

Casselman says all of the money raised from the maze will go towards the food at the dinner. She explains, that is because the school board doesn’t charge them for the use of the facilities and no one is paid as all of the workers are volunteers.

Casselman adds between 200 and 230 people are served every Wednesday night at Kings Kitchen.
