iAdopt Campaign Now On At Leeds and Grenville OSPCA

Ontario SPCA Leeds and Grenville Animal Centre has kicked off their “iAdopt for the Holidays” campaign.

The goal is to get as many animals as possible adopted in the holiday season. Last year, over 4,000 animals across Canada found homes during the campaign.

The centre’s Manager Marianne Carlyle says around 100 animals were adopted at the centre in the two months and the return of adoptions has decreased.

“We only had two adoption returns and they were a couple months later.  You know, people sometimes have a myth that they’re going to come right back after the holidays, that isn’t actually stats that we’re seeing in our centres.”

The animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped, come with one month of pet insurance and up to date on their vaccinations. The adopters name will be entered for a chance to win free pet food for a year from Royal Canin if they adopt during this campaign.

Cats and kittens are $175 to adopt at the Leeds and Grenville centre. Dogs are $450 to adopt.

People who adopt a cat or kitten from the shelter in November will receive a box of Arm & Hammer™ Slide™ Easy Clean-Up Clumping Litter, while supplies last.

The campaign runs until December 31st. To see animals that are currently up for adoption, visit the centre’s website here.
