The Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley may be recounting the votes from the Municipal Election. Mayoral candidate Dan Downey is asking for the numbers to be crunched again.
Downey lost by six votes to Brant Burrow, who was elected mayor last week. The final tally was 1,141 for Burrow and 1,135 for Downey.
Alison Merkely is Deputy Clerk for the township and says there will be a special meeting of council on November 5 to consider the request. She says the decision will be made on November 12.
