It’s your chance to meet the candidates running for Prescott Council.
Leeds and Grenville (LG) Approved Professionals will be holding a Candidate Meet and Greet event at the Prescott Golf Club. It will be on Thursday, October 11 from five to seven that evening.
The event will start off with a meet and greet for about an hour. People can come and ask questions to specific candidates and get to know them. At six, each candidate will have three minutes to pitch their platform and educate everyone on what they are all about.
David Annable is the President of LG Approved Professionals and says it’s peoples right and duty to vote.
“Information is key to that vote. And if you don’t have a chance to find out and educate yourself on the topic, especially in Prescott there’s a lot happening with operations right now, if you don’t know where your future Councillors are going with it you’re kind of blindly voting.”
Annable says they have about 70-percent of candidates confirmed they will be at the event and the deadline for candidates to RSVP is this Thursday.
