An investigation into a theft from a vehicle at the Mallorytown On Route stop has police reminding motorists to lock their cars.
Around 1:45 yesterday morning, Leeds OPP received a report that a motorist had been robbed. The driver was gone for only minutes, returned and found she had lost her laptop, wallet, prescription glasses, and identification. She believed her car was locked; however, there was no sign of forced entry.
Inspector Jeff Smith says you should park in a well-lit area, always lock your car even if you are going to be gone a short time, and report any suspicious people or activity to police.
