Prescott’s Tim Hortons has raised $7,000 in one week.
The annual Smile Cookie campaign launched last Monday and ran through Sunday. The money will be going to the South Grenville Food For All Food Bank. Shawn Lockett is the Owner of Tim Hortons in Prescott and says this was the most successful cookie campaign to date.
“Last year was $5,000 so $7,000 (this year) and that’s all community driven, we just provide the opportunity for them to help out.”
Lockett adds it’s awesome because it’s probably their biggest fundraising campaign they do each year. Bonnie Pidgeon Cougler is the Executive Director of the food bank and says this will definitely help.
“It’s a huge impact for the food bank. $7,000 will help us meet our goal for this year, of course we have to meet our goal for our budget.”
Donations are accepted at the food bank all year. The food bank is at 136 Henry Street West in Prescott. To find out more about the food bank click here.
