CDSBEO to welcome international students in fall of 2016

The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is jumping on the international student bandwagon. Beginning in the fall of 2016, CDSBEO will accept international students from around the world to enjoy the benefits of our first-class education system, while providing local students with the opportunity to benefit from daily interactions with international students.

Dave Chaplin is principal of St. Luke Catholic High School in Smiths Falls, and the CDSBEO Head of International Education. He gave a presentation to board members at a recent meeting, to explain the program. The board has implemented marketing strategies, partnerships, student recruitment and school programs in order to welcome 25 to 30 international students next fall. This is the first time the Catholic board has actively recruited international students.
