Municipal Election Votes Can Be Cast Through Phone, Internet And Paper Ballots

This year’s Municipal Election will have internet, phone and paper ballot votes again.

Voter Information Letters will be in the mail by the end of this month for the election. The letters will have a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that will allow people to vote electronically. Advanced voting begins on Monday, October 15th at ten in the morning. Voting will end on October 22nd at eight that night. Touch-tone phones or any device with access to internet will be able to vote electronically.

On voting day (October 22nd), people can vote with paper ballots at Town Hall on 360 Dibble Street West. Residents are reminded to bring their PIN, if the PIN can’t be found proof of identification is needed before a new one is given.

The English Public School Board Trustee, English Separate School Board Trustee, French Separate School Board Trustee will be elected as well as six Councillors. The Mayor and French Public School Board Trustee have been acclaimed.

Residents can make sure their names on the Voters’ List and information is correct by visiting the Clerk’s Office at Town Hall between Monday and Friday from 8:30 to 4:30 during the day.
