You can purchase a tasty treat and support a local organization.
Prescott’s Tim Hortons will be selling Smile Cookies again on Monday. The week long campaign will donate 100-percent of all proceeds from the cookies to the South Grenville Food For All Food Bank. Shawn Lockett is the Franchise Owner and says they chose the food bank again because it is a very valuable asset in the community.
“It helps a lot of different people, people you didn’t even realize need it. It really took off when we started doing the food bank as a recipient, so I have a hard time leaving it when we keep going on.”
Lockett says last year they raised $5,000 and this year their goal is to beat that amount. The cookies will be sold for one dollar each.
