BGH Adding Temporary Main Entrance

A new temporary main entrance will be built at the Brockville General Hospital (BGH).

The new patient tower at the hospital will be connecting to the current hospital at the main entrance. Contractors will be putting in a temporary entrance because of this. The hospital says the entrance will be just north of the current entrance. Nick Vlacholias is the President and CEO at BGH and says “despite the excitement of this next phase of construction, there will be no changes to the drop-off circle, patient registration or our waiting areas.”

BGH says to help limit disruption, construction in the space will happen in the evenings and the patient drop off zone at the main entrance will be unchanged. The hospital notes this work is anticipated to begin on Monday and last six to eight weeks.

The new tower is expected to be able to have patients in the fall of 2020. For more details on the redevelopment project click here.
