Prescott Committee of the Whole meets tonight at 6:00pm. On the agenda, council will be asked to review and approve the 2016 municipal budget. Deliberations have resulted in a tax levy increase of 2.7%. This amount was originally estimated at a full percentage point higher, but it was reduced after applying the savings from a reduction in policing costs.
The Township of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal will hold budget meeting #4 at 6:00pm tonight. Their Committee of the Whole follows at 7:30pm. Township of Augusta council also meets tonight, at 6:30pm.
