Three men have been arrested at a Mallorytown traffic stop. Around 10:45pm on January 14th, OPP officers stopped a car for a traffic violation on the 401. When the car stopped, three men got out and ran away. The canine unit was brought in to locate the men.
After a long search, one suspect was arrested. Just before 5:30am the next day, police got a call about two men hitch hiking. They were arrested and identified as the men from the traffic stop. A small amount of drugs and a prohibited weapon were seized. The three men, aged 18, 19 and 20, from Hamilton, Ontario, were charged with obstructing a peace officer. They will appear in Brockville court next month.
This incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP.
