Pet Valu, on 305 King Street West, will have an All Paws Matter Adoption Event for the first time ever on August 25th. The event will run from 10 am to three pm.
Christina Burwood is the Manager of Pet Valu in Prescott and says around five to six dogs will be at the event. She says All Paws Matter Rescue is a complete in-home foster base across Canada, which means the dogs are not in any shelter instead they are in a home being fostered.
The money from the event will go back to the rescue.
Burwood says this event is a big need in the area because they want the dogs to find the best homes. One dog that will be in Prescott on August 25th is “Tunco.” Burwood says the three year old dog had his ears and tail removed by someone previously and they are now trying to find him a fantastic home.
The cost to adopt a dog at the event is $425 and includes the dogs micro-chipped, spayed or neutered and all their shots are up to date.
Burwood notes most of the dogs in the rescue are good with cats.
