The Downtown Prescott Business Improvement Area (BIA) hired TD Graham and Associates to complete an investment attraction strategy.
The company is based in Kemptville and was commissioned in the spring of this year to complete it.
Deron Johnston is the BIA Coordinator and says the strategy is a tool to help guide the BIA to better prepare themselves to be a place where people find it possible to invest their money. The strategy will have, tips, tools and specific steps to make the BIA investment ready.
Johnston says the investments they are trying to attract are builders and businesses. They would love to have some new people move in, buy the properties and start their own business or attract another business to come in. Johnston adds he thinks investing in Prescott is a no brainer.
Johnston says the company is just finishing up the strategy and anticipates it will be ready to look at by the end of this month.
