Charges were laid after the OPP assisted a motor vehicle that drove into a southbound ditch near the Spencerville exit on Highway 416. The incident happened around midnight yesterday.
The OPP says the male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
A 23-year old Augusta Township man has been charged with driving while impaired by alcohol.
The driver was uninjured and is scheduled to appear in court on August 7.
