Prescott has hired Dana Valentyne to be the Economic Development Officer for the Town.
Valentyne has over a decade of experience in positions similar to this one at the municipal government level. Valentyne has been an Economic Development Officer in Deseronto for eight years. Her most recent role was as the Supervisor of Tourism and Events at the City of Quinte West.
Valentyne adds there were a number of initiatives that were laid out during the interview process and job description that she has experience in, including community revitalization initiatives.
She notes she will also be working on rolling out the Community Improvement Plan.
Mayor Brett Todd says he’s very happy to have Dana join the team at Town Hall. Valentyne’s first day on the job was yesterday (July 23rd).
