Anne Johnston seeks Conservative Party nomination in federal by-election

Brockville resident Anne Johnston is seeking the Conservative Party nomination for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes. She has worked on federal and provincial election campaigns for nearly 20 years. Johnston says she understands the issues.

Johnston says farmers in the riding deserve a voice and important infrastructure projects, such as the expansion of County Road 43, need attention. She says promoting tourism in Westport, Gananoque and Merrickville are key. Johnston says keeping people and jobs in Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes will help the riding grow.

The vote to select a Conservative candidate for the federal by-election, which has not yet been called, is set for sometime in August.
