Festival of Small Halls to Take Over Local Venues This Fall

The Festival of Small Halls is coming to town. Local venues like the Merrickville United Arts Centre, Spencerville Mill and Winchester United Church will host renowned Canadian artists this fall. The festival – an initiative of Ottawa Bluesfest – kicks off September 13. This is the fifth year for the festival, which will be in 35 communities across Eastern Ontario. General Manager Kelly Symes says the small scale concerts attract big names.

The festival continues to grow year over year. New artists to the festival include Kathleen Edwards, who will play in Winchester on September 15, Juno award-winner William Prince, Colter Wall and Stephen Fearing. Symes says the festival showcases all genres.

The festival runs until September 30. Tickets range from $25 to $35. You can order tickets online by clicking here or by calling 613-402-1425. For the full line-up, visit thefestivalofsmallhalls.com.
