Across the province, preparations are being made in case the guards go on strike. Portable trailers with extra beds are being installed at many area correctional facilities, so that managers can move in and take over for striking guards.
Jail guards in Ontario have been without a contract for over a year. They will be in a legal strike position as of 12:01am on Sunday.
