MPP Steve Clark ‘honoured’ to be named to Premier’s cabinet

Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark has taken on a new role. He was sworn in as Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing on Friday. Clark was one of 21 MPP’s appointed to Premier Doug Ford’s cabinet. Clark says he is happy about the position.

Part of the swearing in ceremony was held on the lawn at Queen’s Park. Clark is currently in Toronto at the Ministry Office being briefed and attending meetings with Deputy Minister Laurie LeBlanc. He reached out to major stakeholders, including municipal officials and housing organizations, over the weekend. Clark says being part of cabinet will benefit the riding.

Clark will get his mandate letter from Premier Ford, which outlines his tasks both short-term and long-term.
