Fort Wellington will be hosting activities on Sunday for Canada Day.

There will be free face painting and historical cooking demonstrations all day long. Katie Allard is the Tourism and Recreation Coordinator for Prescott and says the Fort will be open at ten am.

According to Allard, there will also be free things to enjoy elsewhere in town as well.

The day will end with fireworks at ten pm across from the Fort. You’re reminded to leave pets at home if you are enjoying the display. King Street East from Boundary to East Street will be closed as well as Russel Street and Vankoughnet Street. All of them will close at 8:30 that evening.
