Telemedicine is coming to our area. The video-conferencing between doctor and patient will be available out of Smiths Falls, Merrickville, Brockville, Prescott, Gananoque and Portland through Rideau Community Health Services. Through this remote technology, clients can visit with doctors, specialists and other health care professionals such as diabetes educators, dieticians and social workers, without having to drive long distances.
