Johnstown ambulance station to consolidate South Grenville services

Early this year paramedics in South Grenville will be moving into a new ambulance station in Johnstown. The building, which used to house the Ontario Travel Information Centre, is currently under construction. The ambulance services currently located in Prescott and Spencerville will be combined to start running out of this new station.

United Counties Chief of Paramedic Services Chris Lloyd says the move will potentially add a few minutes to calls for service on the west side of Prescott, but people calling from Johnstown and Cardinal will see shorter wait times. The new location of the ambulance station at the south end of the 416 will provide quicker access to all points of service in South Grenville.
