Four people charged with impaired driving in one week

Officers at the Leeds Detachment of the OPP have been busy investigating impaired drivers. Four people have been charged with drinking and driving in a single week.

Officers were called to a business on Fairfax Road last Thursday. A 53-year-old Brockville woman was charged with having more than 80 mgs of alcohol in her blood. She is scheduled to appear at Brockville Court on July 6.

Officers witnessed a traffic incident on Highway 15 on Saturday night. A 59-year-old Leeds and Thousand Islands Township man was charged with impaired driving.

On Sunday, officers were called to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 15 in Rideau Lakes. A 25-year-old Ottawa man was charged with drinking and driving. He will appear in Brockville Court on July 13.

The OPP got traffic complaints from a driver on Highway 401 Monday night. After investigating, the officers charged a 53-year-old Scarborough man with impaired driving.

All four vehicles were towed and impounded.
