OPP Officers from Rideau Lakes responded to a 9-1-1 call from a ‘Hangry Patron.’ The call came in last night from a 32-year-old woman who was at a restaurant in Elgin. She requested help from the OPP because her pizza order was not ready.
Officers arrived and found the woman and her son in their car waiting to explain her dissatisfaction with the restaurant. Officers educated her on the proper use of the 9-1-1 system.
Leeds County OPP Staff Sergeant Josh Kingsley says “for a life-threatening situation or imminent danger or crime that’s in progress, that’s when you call 9-1-1.”
