Our first real storm of the winter is expected to start tonight and continue throughout the day tomorrow. By the end of it, we will have accumulated 15 to 25 centimetres or 10 inches of snow and ice pellets.
Strong winds and blowing snow will continue, tapering off Tuesday afternoon. Highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to travel on due to accumulating snow.
Visibility will also be reduced to near zero during periods of heavy and blowing snow. Give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination or, better yet, stay in until it’s over.
