Counties contributing $2,000 to Gord Brown memorial ice rink

The ‘Help Gord Brown’s Gan Ice Pad Vision’ campaign got a boost from the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. Counties Council voted last Thursday to contribute $2,000 to the GoFundMe campaign in memory of the late Gord Brown, who passed away on May 2.

Brown served as MP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes since 2004.

The crowdfunding campaign has reached $36,000. The goal is to raise $100,000 to build a second ice rink in Gananoque, which will be named in honour of Brown.
