Leeds County OPP continue their investigation into thefts from mailboxes. On December 23rd, police received numerous complaints of thefts from roadside mail boxes in Leeds County. About 40 mailboxes were hit, in the Lyn, Mallorytown and Addison areas.
In all instances, holiday greeting cards and packages were opened and then thrown in the ditch. All other mail was discarded, unopened. Police believe it could have happened on Monday evening. Officers are working with Canada Post and the municipal offices on this investigation.
