The Protocol wood pellet plant has requested another delay in closing. This third extension in closing will bring them into the month of March.
The $100 million dollar investment is significant, and Prescott Mayor Brett Todd says one major reason for the extension is that Protocol has a new business partner from Switzerland on the deal.
While the financiers do their due diligence on the project, all other permits have been cleared and the land is ready for construction north of the 401.
