Students at CECCE Schools Going to Summer Camp in China

Students with the local French Catholic School Board will be getting a remarkable learning opportunity in China.

Five students and one teacher from CECCE schools will be attending the Beijing international summer camp, put on by Beijing International Education Exchange. Executive Director ofCommunity Involvement and International Bureau with the school board Anouar Nemry says they created a contest to determine what students would get to participate.

According to the school board these camps have been running since 2011 and this year there will be 800 campers from 30 counties. During the camp students are expected to have many chances to learn about not only Chinese culture but the cultures of other students visiting Beijing. According to Nemry the school board believes this exposure to other cultures can help students learn.

He adds that they’ve opened themselves up to international markets more in the last few years, including taking in international students and partnering with school boards in other countries. Students will be abroad from July 10th to the 25th.
