Brockville Police and the SPCA Don’t Want You Leaving Pets in the Car

Brockville Police are reminding the public not to leave animals in the car.

The reminder comes after officers responded to a call at the corner of King Street and Market Street about a dog left in a car. According to police when the owner was located he was charged under a by-law for not ensuring the well-being of the animal.

Jacob Horton, Animal Care Attendant with the Leeds and Grenville SPCA, says leaving a pet in the car is never really safe.

Horton adds that there are serious charges connected to this behaviour.

The SPCA urge anyone who witnesses animal abuse of any kind to call their investigators. The investigators work on a complaint basis, so they need your help to be aware of at-risk animals in the area. More information on the SPCA’s tip line can be found here. { }
